EDM is back and it’s better than ever. The Central Coast’s biggest export Ninajirachi has wowed listeners across the world with her debut album I Love My Computer, a 12 track record littered with catchy vocals, nostalgia bites and the most intricate use of Ableton software I have ever heard.

The first time I saw Nina play was on the second floor of King Street Hotel sometime in early 2024. At that point she hadn’t even released her EP/mixtape girl EDM, so I was going in blind. From the moment I stepped onto that dancefloor, the energy of the room exploded with her unique drops, expert mixing and hilarious samples.

Since then, she gained serious notoriety following the release of girl EDM, with a sold-out Australian tour and a DJ spot at Laneway Festival. In May 2025, she dropped the track Fuck My Computer, a catchy, industrial, pop-y, tune about loving one’s device so much they wish to partake in metaphorical intercourse (who can relate :3). From that release the hype for this debut album has been ASTRONOMICAL and she hasn’t disappointed.

Across it’s nearly 40 minute run-time, in my opinion, Nina transports listeners to an underground house party in 2011 filled with anime posters and glitter. Each track flows seamlessly into one another, my favourite transitions are London Song to iPod Touch to Fuck My Computer, and CSIRAC to Delete. Her vocals are expertly weaved into the bouncy basslines and robotic melodies, almost reminiscent of dubstep at certain points – particularly in Delete

This album perfectly captures how the sounds of the 2010s are coming back strong, inspired by artists like LMFAO, Four Tet, Kesha and even Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP era, in the form of modern party albums devoid of your typical house beats (FINALLY!). This can be heard particularly in songs like All I Am, Battery Death, London Song and Infohazard

At the end of the day, this album just screams party vibes, lifting anyone’s spirit who choose to hit play. Even though everyone and their dog is talking about it, I still think I Love My Computer needs way more love in the mainstream channels. #Ninajirachi4Ever
